Well, I was able to uproot a sumberged stump with 12 lb CXX, you with 20 lb can certainly lift them dock pillings from the bottom.

Honestly, I only use 8-15lb.  The 15lb breaks at like 27lbs or so.  I'm not sure why the memory has a pretty big jump when you go from 15lb to the 17/20lb, but it does.  Try some 15lb.  I honestly don't notice the memory...I grew up using Trilene XT, and the CXX seems no worse.

I've thrown 15lb P-Line CXX and Fluorocarbon in the thickest of cover, docks, and 10 feet back into tullies, still able to drag fish out. It's GREAT stuff, and like someone else said, the breaking point is somewhere above 25lbs, I think you'd be safe even catching the world record.

I use 15 lb CXX on all my BC reels, and it's plenty tough for most any application. If I'm fishing really thick stuff, I'll use braid anyway.

For spinning tackle I use the CX or McCoy Mean Green.

EATING CROW TIME ;)!!!  In an earlier reply I said I didn't know if "no memory in 12lb CXX was because of just spooling it on or what". It sure must have been that. Got out yesterday for a little while and the CXX could be renamed Shirley Temple for all the curls ;D! As someone said earlier it didn't affect how well it casted and it seemed as strong as all get out. The memory worked itself out after a while and still like the line a lot...
