Looking for suggestions for a jerkbait rod.

Featured Replies

What rod do you like best for jerkbaits. I have a St Croix Premier 6'MF baitcaster that I plan on using. I was thinking about a spinning rod for jerkbaits when I need to use lite line.

My dedicated jerkbait rod is a St. Croix Avid AC66MF

which has a soft tip. The length and Fast Action allows

me control and manuever jerkbaits and topwater; the

soft tip cushions the pressure on the treble hooks.

I think it's perfect!

At night, I'm not comfortable with baitcasting equipment.

After dark I fish jerkbaits on a Fenwick Techna AV

AVS70MM spinning rod.

This rod is excellent for jerkbaits IMO.

Thanks RW,

What St Croix avid spinning rod would you like for jerkbaits. I have this mind set on fishing with one make of rod.
