Heres ny arsenal

Stradic 2500fh on a Avid 6'6 MHF 8-17lb 1/4-3/4

Calcutta 300te on a Legend Tourny 7'9 swimbait rod HF 17-30 1-4oz

Steez 103ha on a MBR 844 GLX HF

Citica 200d on an Avid 7' MF 10-17lb 1/4-3/4

Citica 100dsv on the way need a rod suggestion!!

I throw alot of soft plastics, all kinds. weightless and weighted. I want to start jigging and cranking (not real deep) and other techniques like Carolina rigs, drop shots. With what I got what should I be using them for. Should I switch anything out or around? Also need a rod for the citica 100 on the way.

Useing a Berkley amongst that group would not be right LOL ;)

Here is what I would do, put the Citica 200 on a new Avid 7' MHF, and put your 100D on the 7' MF Avid.

I agree.  With the rods you have, you wouldn't be able to fish for 30 seconds with the Berkley.

Alright the Berkelys are history!! I kinda feel like all my setups are similar? What would you guys be using each setup for? Do I need and extra fast rod, do I need a medium tip rod? I would like to start throwing more cranks and jerkbaits.

Is that MF avid the old model or the new model?  If it's the old, it's more medium than fast avid.  I have one and I like jerkbaits and other moving lures on it.  I would put the citica 100 on it too.

Yes both Avids are the older ones one is medium/fast and the other medium heavy/fast

I would get a 7'3" rod for Carolina Rigging. The legend tourny from st Croix can be had for around $200 at reedssports.com. I have this rod and it awesome. Since you like to fish plastic most of the time this makes the most sense.

Or you could go with a small cranksetup. I have a glass st croix permiere 7'. It is a decent rod for small cranks, but if you want to throw the DD22 go bigger. THe carrot Stix 6'9" with parabolic bend has been mentioned in these forum before for fishing small cranks. I checked this rod out at cabelas two days ago and I came away impressed.

I have been intrigued by the carrot stix. For cranks/jerks it wold be mostly shallow runners 10ft max as most ponds I fish are too weedy. Could this also make a good spinnerbait rod?

any other opinions or suggestions for me? Still need 1 more rod. Feel free to mix and match my stuff if you think it will help

I don't think the carrot stix would make a good spinnerbait and crankbait rod if you're fishing shallow, weedy, ponds.  It won't have the stiffness to pop a spinnerbait through the grass.

If you're looking for a dedicated shallow crankin' setup, a Dobyns 684CB is worth a look.

You must buy a G.Loomis crankbait rod(CBR783C) for crankbaits and a G.Loomis Mag Bass(MBR783C in GLX only) for spinnerbaits. For reels, the only option you should consider is Quantum Tour Edition PT's. Too get the most enjoyment out of fishing, you must cough up the cash.

So I picked up a MBR 782c GLX couldnt pass it up. Dont know that it helps me or not, just couldnt let it go for $200?? So heres what I got

Stradic 2500fh on a Avid 6'6 MHF 8-17lb 1/4-3/4

Calcutta 300te on a Legend Tourny 7'9 swimbait rod HF 17-30 1-4oz

Steez 103ha on a MBR 844 GLX HF

Citica 200d on an Avid 7' MF 10-17lb 1/4-3/4

Citica 100dsv on MBR 782 GLX

The  spinning and swimbait setup are all set. Do you think I should switch any of the remaining 3 setups around as far as what reel on what rod. I think the 844 will be for jigs, carolina rigs, frogs and anything that I may throw into heavy cover, whatever it may be. The 782 I was thinking for spinnerbaits, cranks, topwaters and maybe plastics?? That leaves the Avid for jerkbaits maybe? I feel like the Avid and 782 are similar and not sure if I should swap the Avid out for something just for senkos and plastics and just use the 782 as a hardbait rod?? Any more help is appreciated
