Is there much difference in the rods and can the 853 handle 3/4 oz football jigs. Will normally use for deeper water jigs and maybe some flipping.  Any input is appreciated. Getting ready to pull the trigger.

Everyone raves about the 854 (my next rod), but I haven't seen much on the 853. For 3/4 oz jigs in deep water, the 854 is probably the ticket.

I love my 853, but go 854 if you plan on working 3/4oz footballs.
