I casted by the base of some trees and got snagged on a root I believe and couldn't get it loose... anyway, after a few good jolts I feel my line "snap". at least I thought it snapped...

when I go to tie on a new hook this is what I see...

the line and knot were still in tact!!! ;) what the??? I was using a worm hook with a soft jerkbait... did my hook break before my line???

Yup.  Happened to me more times than I care to mention.  Just give the eye of your hook a little squeze with your pliers.

Maybe you tied a not so good knot,Lol. It could also be that the hooks your using are just more junk from China, Mike
