  1. i didn't see anybody mention charlie's worms... hands down my favorite ribbon tail. 8" tequila w/green flake nothing particular for everything else... netbait, zoom, bass pro, etc.
  2. peanut butter toast and water... lotsa water...
  3. Catt... excellent answer. I'll give it heck next saturday. If no bass, at least I can go to the other end and fill the freezer with seatrout. ;D
  4. I have a lake a few miles from my house that is river fed and drains directly into the gulf. I've caught 2-3 pound bass in there but do brackish bass typically get any bigger? Just curious. This lake sees ALOT less bass fisherman than our big freshwater lake. The lake averages 8-9 ft but has some pockets 15-20 ft deep. I want to join the 10lb club and currently drive 45 -50 minutes to get to the other lake. Is it possible / likely one could be lurking in the salty brown water just down the street??? : ;D
  5. wondering if anyone uses ziploc baggies instead of the manufacturer packaging on plastics? for instance, i have 3 or 4 bags of the same worm but they take up too much room seperately. are the manufactures packaging "better" than regular plastic bags?? :-/
  6. clear as mud...
  7. Yeah I noticed the spiderwire stealth had "new and improved" on it also. Wal mart clearanced all the "non-new and imroved" braid for $5!! I took a few boxes of the old stuff.... I guess I'm missing out...
  8. Really? did you go through the eye twice? I go through the eye twice, twist 4 or 5 times, go through the bottom and back through the top... I mainly use Spiderwire stealth 20, 30, and 65... never had an issue. I've straightened hooks and even broke a rod....
  9. Just moved from Ft Lauderdale to northern florida... hands down, the biggest thing I miss is peacock bass. ;D Nice fish!!!
  10. I use this knot for everything... I fish alot of braid

Weeds, lilys, and stumps... define my lake! Just started flipping last week and got pretty good at it after a few hours. Just me in the boat, good time to practice new techniques... Question, I was throwing a t-rig wooly bug with 3/8 oz. bullet. Are t-rigs and jigs interchangable?? Or should I use one over the other in certain situations? EDIT: I found this... answers my question http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1246768029
  12. thanks! I did get some brush hogs last week but stopped throwing them thinking they might be too big. also, I think I concentrated on the horny toad too much in the lily's. they're pretty thick on top but I should easily be able to punch through them with a t-rig or jig. saturday was my first day really flipping. I stayed at it all day and got pretty good after a couple of hours. it's the only thing that produced. t-rigged wooly bug, 3/8 oz, heavy action rod, 65lb braid. although I might go to 50lb braid for castability. 65 is like friggin rope! i about pulled an old dock down. ;D also, the first place i fished was the shallow, big weed bed in the middle of the lake with a buzz bait across the top. I thought for sure I would've nailed a couple. they were feeding all around me. maybe I need to downsize the buzzbait or use a topwater that I can pause and stop. :-?
  13. Random question, I have some chicken breasts that I forgot about in the fridge. Only expired 4 or 5 days ago. I'm not gonna eat them but I could throw it on the grill and give it to the dog.... She'd be ok ya think?? :-?
