Favorite Fishing Snack

Featured Replies

I think I read this on here once before but I for got. What is your favorite thing to take with you on the boat to eat while fishing. I usually take a ham sandwich and some chips and a Pepsi. One of my buddies told me a guy he know takes a hole bucket of chicken from KFC when he goes and eats on it all night, just puts it under the console.

I take a couple of fruit bars and a couple snack-size boxes of raisins. I take some water but usually don't drink it unless it's really hot (no head in the canoe!).

I spend as much as 6 to 8 hours in the canoe - if the bite is good, I'm usually too busy to think of eating.  When the bite slows, then I grab the munchies...

Bud...Bud...Bud...Budweiser...Buud...Buud...Buud...

If I am fishing for a few hours, just gatorade, if for tournament, 2 Cliff bars, 2 granola bars, 4 waters, 2 gatorades. And a Snickers almond bar.

Something that became a tradition for my Dad and I was peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. I almost never eat them at home or anywhere else for that matter. We did a considerable amount of saltwater fishing when we both lived in Seattle and I don't really remember how it came to be but we never went out for a day of fishing without our PB&J.

I always have a bag of Davids sunflower seeds, some  jacks links teryaki jerkey. 1 Gatoraid a water and a monster! :)

Are you talking an all day snackin kind of list ? 4 Turkey and Ham wraps, a dozen chocolate chip cookies, 2 pounds of trail mix, ( the kind with M and M's in it ) Quaker granola bars, bag of peanuts in the shell, Jerky, jar of smoked salmon, 2 cans of Pepsi, 4 bottles of water and two bottles of Gatorade. If you've ever had kidney stones you would understand. Whoops ! Thats my list for sturgeon trips. For bass it's a stick of gum.

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

You can't take a banana in the boat with you!

I eat pumpkin seeds (they are amazing) and walnuts.

The Humminbird 998 I got this spring was just too complicated; so I replaced it with a fondue pot. If I ever catch anything, I'm gonna just dip it in cheese and eat it right there.
