  1. Yeah... we cheat a lot in Rochester
  2. Never seen those before. I have caught bass on purple senkos late at night though but purple seems to be a great color for plastics at night? Do you know what the purpose of pink plastics are anyway? Someone else told me they are better lures for mid day. From what I've heard and seen, they are usually a really bright/ annoying pink. This is supposed to appear really bright to a bass and agitate them into striking. :-?
  3. Hmm... how about denver? I may be staying there a few days too.
  4. Generally, if you caught it in the Adirondacks, its a largemouth. This is because, as I have been told by a fisheries and parks manager and marine biologist friend of my dads, smallmouth compete with pike and not often found in the same area.
  5. I'm going to be around here for a week or so soon. Any lakes or ponds that would be good to shore fish from or take a float tube in? Thanks
  6. I take the float tube out to mendon ponds park on round pond a lot... maybe you'll see me there.
  7. As soon as anybody sets foot on a floating dock every fish near it swims for cover. I've never had success with them.
  8. I didn't know fish hit hooks =p it was probably the position of the hooks rather than the color eg: the fish were short striking and the red hook was on the tail
  9. You can make PVC-pipe "trees" with a concrete bottom so it lands correctly

  18. As far as losing baits - Ive climbed 30+ into trees to get new $6 Rapalas. Don't ask me how they got 30 feet into a tree. It just happened.
  19. I have you all beat... two summers ago I pulled a loaded smith and wesson revolver from the Erie Canal in New York. That same season I pulled up a child's baby doll. That was frightening. plenty of rods and reels, chairs Its not the cleanest water, I admit
