I was hoping to get some response early as I am heading that way shortly and was going to make the purchase on the way.

i dunno about that deal specifically...but they also have the XPS Extreme rods on sale for $60...

beware though...the price may not be the same in store as online...but they will match it, you just have to go to the customer service desk to get it marked down.....

Sorry for any confusion. My first posting and just getting back into fishing after many years due to two grandsons loving fishing. I certainly do not want to dissappoint grandchildren ages 11 an 9 by making them think Papa knows nothing regarding equipment etc. My local flier has a BPS sale...Shimano saros reel with a 70 modulus spinning rod with fuji concept guides. Looks like the pro qualifier rod. I'm asking if this is as good a deal as it looks.

TIA

In the Master catalog the reel is listed at 129.99 and the rod is listed at 129.99 for a total of 259.98. It looks like a savings of $110.98
