Anybody else own one of these? I bought one last year, it has no fine tune braking like a good quantum etc, just the spool brake knob. I'm having trouble with back lashes with it.

I took a look at the reel on the website, and it says that there is a centrifigul brake system on that reel.  It says something about a release lever on the sideplate opposite the crank, and that the sideplate comes off.  Sorry that I can't supply more info than that.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question.  It sounded to me that you weren't aware that there was any other control than the spool tension knob.  So, I checked out the website thinking it must have more than just the tension knob.  

I guess I meant it had no incremental magnetic brake...

Allright last question...........does anyone even own an Okuma bait caster beside me......regardless of model? :-/
