Producto swim shad

Featured Replies

Has anybody out there had as much success with the 4" Producto swim shad as I have? Has anybody heard of this lure? If not, I just gave up my secret weapon! I'm curious because I have not read about this lure anywhere, I found it a a local tackle shop and gave it a try. It works! I'm sorry that I have not included a picture.  ;)

for the record, I do not work for Producto. ha ha!

No, I'm sorry, the buzztail shad. I fish it texas rigged weightless, mostly over weed beds in shallow water, topwater like a buzzbait, I let it sink a little in any wholes in the cover.

The Buzztail Shad is killer hot ;).

producto products have been proven winners for many yrs. back in the 80's thay are baits that the pros used to great extent and some still use them today.

A 3" swimbait??

Mister Twister missed the marketing boat.  The sassy shad is really a swimbait.

sassy shads and swimbaits like that dont have very good action. the big flat sides tip the lure over on its side and cause it to go on a plane. now they might work if you put a belley weight on them to keep em upright....but the tail action still aint that great.

i like their tournement worms. they look like they have good action...cheap prices tooo!!! $4 and some change for 20 worms!!! thats great if you ask me.

I don't have any of their Shad, but I have some of their 3" Mullets, and this summer finally a found a situation where they earn their keep.  I'll be getting some more of these now.

The shads and Mullets are not Producto's best baits, not even close.  I was about ready to give up on them but glad I didn't.
