how long are the handle lengths on the extremes. they look wicked long. not sure if i liike that?

I don't know specifically how long they are but they are different for different lengths of rod though.  The 6' length rod seemed to look like an average length handle to me, maybe 8 to 9 inches of rear grip length (guessing)??  The 6'6" rod looks like it gains at least 2 inches of handle though, which I'm not crazy about either.  

As a rod builder I have found most rack rods use the following rear grip lengths.

5'6" rods use pistol to 6" length.

6' to 6'6" rods use a 7" to 8" length.

7' and up rods use a 9" to 11" lengths.

Just my .02¢ from the rod bench.

My 6.6 Extreme's overall lenght including the reel seat is 15.50"

rear cork=8.75"

front cork=2.50"

real seat =4.25"

they're actually pretty nice....those measurments are not exactly perfect but very very close.
