Sorry, forgot to mention that i do use Kvd line and lure conditioner. I spray my spools, spray my reels the night before, and i give them a shot after done fishing.

Fluorocarbon lines have come a long way in managability, but they still aren't as soft as mono.  Try the No-Viz Extra...it's softer than the No-viz.

Man.  I was thinking about buying some of that in the bulk spools.  Seemed really cheap for the amount you got and I didn't get it cause i thought it seemed just a bit "too cheap".  Now I'm glad I waited.  Anybody think brand could have anything to do with what happened here??  Should we try Berkley or another brand over just Cabela's or Bass Pro brand line??

Trilene 100% flurocarbon is the "real deal". Not cheap, nor super expensive, try it, I think you'll like it.

It's not bad fluorocarbon; a lot of people still use Carbon Pro/No-Vis, but I think the Inviz-X/No-Viz extra is more popular.  If you are trying fluorocarbon for the first time...let me recommend the No-Viz Extra.  The old Cabelas 'Pro-Line' fluorocarbon was not made by seaguar and sucked pretty bad.  The Berkley 100% is better, but is is 100% more expensive ($20/200yds versus $10/200yds)

I use the BPS flouro and really like it. If I am not mistaken, it is made by Toray....

I am using the Berkley Trilene flouro as well. I would rate it just a tad better in memory and break strength than the BPS, but not enough to justify the price difference-you can pick up BPS on sale for around 10 bucks a spool.

note: in the search for my favorite line, the BPS flouro is slowly taking the #1 spot....

I think the proper term is that Trilene 100% is the 'Shizzle'.  Anyway...the BPS is indeed made by Toray and is very good line (and the bulk spools were a bargain), but the Trilene is a little more limp and just is a pleasure to fish with.  Love it...haven't read a bad review yet.

There are definitely differences between brands of fluorocarbons, but in general all true (100%) fluorocarbons by nature will be stiffer than the mono you're used to throwing. Just something you have to get used to. It is the same quality that gives them their abrasion resistance and good sense of feel. But the tradeoff comes with weaker knot performance (compared to mono) and manageability. Different lines (and line manufacturers) address these trade-offs respectively through their own proprietary formulas, so keep testing different brands until you find one that suits your setup and applications.

Seaguar InvizX is the best flouro I have used.

After trying most of the major brands I have came back to  XPS Fluorocarbon with KVD line conditioner. I couldnt be happier with its performance.  P-Line Fluorocarbon is not bad either.
