Saw some photos this morning.  Everything from the Symetre down is getting a reboot.  The Symetre has gone up in price to $100.

Will try to get some photos up tonight.

$100?

That sux!!!

I really like the Symetre at the $80 price point.  Dont know about that extra $20.  Guess you gotta make up for the drop in price of the Curado somehow....

I am plenty happy with the Symetres that I have now, best spinning reel under $100. If Shimano adds the S-R Concept to them, they will be the best spinning reel for $100.

I always thought the Spirex would be a good reel of they shaved about 7 pounds off of it.

Glad I just got my Symetre 750 for $50.  ;)

It IS a good reel, even with the extra 7 lbs.  Mine has been beat to heck, and back, and is still perfectly useable (although pretty worn) 15 yrs later.
