vicious fishing line?

Featured Replies

I saw it at my favorite fishing store (hehehe) and wondered if anyone has used it before? I was looking at the floro because it was only like $10, compared to the other brands ,like Seaguar, that are about $20. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Its a smaller, relatively new company. Not bad stuff at all. Try it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Been using Vicious Fluoro for about a year with good results.  Like you, I like that it cost 1/2 what many other fluoros do.  Some argue you get what you pay for, and in this case you get a good line at a lower cost than most.  More expensive does not always make it better, only more costly.

Well, next time try something else. With the exception of a few guys that are sponsored by Vicious, I have never seen a post comparing this line favorably to another fluorocarbon.

i switched to 8 and 10-lb vicious this spring. a little stiff compared to invisx and slightly thick diameterwise for it's rated test but i like it. sensitivity is superb and i've had only one breakoff over a couple hundred fish. i've tie a trilene knot and have not had any problems. for the price, an excellent line.

I've been using Seaguar and P-Line before i saw the Vicious floro. I liked both of them, but my parents dont dig the price as much.  ;D

Thanks for the replies, i think i will try it out. Less money means more baits! woo!  :)

The best cheap fluoro out there is the Cabelas No-Viz.  It is made by Seaguar and has all the characteristics of Carbon Pro (I can't say it is, but I'd bet my arsenal Seaguar doesn't clean out their extruders and whip up a 'special' formula just for Cabelas  :).

Hey thanks, I'll have to go check that out. (I wish i had a cabela's or bass pro shops near me, but internet will do. I'd be like a kid in a candy store :))
