You can see it better using a black light when your fishing at night.

Well, I recently bought some Spiderwire mono to try out, and it is a flouro blue color.  Didn't know that at the time-

But, It does not seem to be a deterrent so far.

I think I read somewhere that it was more easily visible in situations like working soft plastics, to help detect a subtle hit.

I did not think about night fishing and black lights....thanks

Clear/blue flourescent is the only line i use. XL if i can get it, Stren if i must. It's easy to see in any sun/cloud conditions, works for me no matter what lure i'm using, and is relatively cheap.

Use Stren Clear Blue (Flo) most of the time so I can see it. Particularly valuable on cloudy days when pitching over wood, throwing a frog into cover and especially when throwing soft stick baits into Minnesota reeds.

In those situations it is often hard to see clear line on cloudy days even wearing polaroids.
