Lucky Craft Pointers 100 VS. 128

Featured Replies

Pointer 100 vs. Pointer 128

Will a larger bass pass on eating a smaller bait like the 100 but will eat the 128? Will you get more numbers on the 100 and less on the 128? Is there a any pro's to fishing the 128 and just not fishing the 100? Would the 100 be a better choice in clear water and the 128 in stained water? Any other feedback would be helpful!

These are the things that I think about when I'm not on the water and have too much time on my hands ;D

When I first started collecting Pointers, I started with the 128. After fishing both the 100 and 128 for the past three or four years, I see no advantage in fishing the 128. Not only from a "production" basis, but also in terms of the equipment: the 128 requires a heavier rod than what I use for my "standard" jekbait set-up. These days, the only time I fish the 128 is at night when my main target is walley.

I too prefer the 100. Also, I prefer the 100 on the Sammy than the other sizes. The American Shad color has been the most productive Sammy that I have used.
