What G Loomis rod for tubes?

Featured Replies

I'm getting ready to build a spinning rod for fishing tubes and hair jigs for smallies.  My problem is I can't decide which blank to use. The rod is going to be used primarily for tubes, like I said, but I also would like something that could handle lighter texas rigs and possibly small jerkbaits as well. I was thinking about either the SL782 (light) or the SJ782 (med.). I'm leaning towards the SJ782 because I'm thinking it will be more versatile. Opinions?

I have the SJR782S, I use it for smaller baits where I need a little more muscle than a ML-L rod because of cover density.
