He dropped off a few reels last week for a good cleaning.  I grab one and pull the cover off to start disassembly.

I nearly had a heart attack.  

Doesn't look so bad, does it?  I didn't think so either until...

Too bad for him that reel is now full of chicken fat and crisco.  

Just take a black Sharpie to the letters on the reel cover and it will be a nicely color coordinated accessory  ;D

What no pic of the Daiwa in the other cover.  I figured the covers deserved something better than the name on'em.  

Anyone with a little common sense knows why he did it...  the Quantum reel covers do not offer much protection.

I haven't dug into that one yet.  Plus that isn't quite as blasphemous as a Shimano cover on a Quantum reel.

It's like I told Burley when he dropped it off, there's a good chance that one reel brought in more fish last year than all his combined.   Gotta love those cheerleader ponds and the RageShad.

I may have to go to all Quantum just to fill your boat full of Quantum stuff one day when we go fishing Burley.
