Diverse rod!

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a rod that will be able to fish many different baits. I will put a Shimano Citica D on it. I am looking at a 7' m of the St. Croix Mojo, Team Daiwa Pro Series Bass Trigger Rods, or Falcon Original Series. All opinions appreciated.

Would that be able to handle soft swimbaits?

Probably not, what type of swimbaits are you wanting to throw?

Maybe if you give a list of a few of the most common baits you will be throwing, people can give you a better idea about length, action, and power.

My "all-around" baitcaster is an Avid AVC66MF.

I think any decent rod between 6'6 and 7" MH F or XF would work fine as an all around rod. It just depends on how much $ you want to spend.

I just put MH down because that is what I prefer. A solid M action rod would probably work also.

I am throwing jigs, weighted and non-weighted worms, spinnerbaits, shallow cranbaits 1-3', and assorted soft plastics.
