$110.00 Revo

Featured Replies

I sent 4 Morrums to Garcia to be repaired.  I bought these reels when Berkley bought Garica for $85.00ea when Berkley clearanced them in the '90s.  They need some repair but when I was told how much it cost I said not to repair them.  The guy that called me said they would give me 45% off any reel trade in.  I now have a Wench, 2 STX-HS and  a Stx 6.3-1 coming for $440.00.

What physical condition were they in?

The morrums were fished hard for about 8 years.  Boat rash and the foot on each one of them was either completely off or bent(Too soft aluminum alloy, design flaw).  These reels originally retailed for $299.95.  Appeared to mechanically sound.  Was going to cost around $150.00 per reel to repair with the same defective replacement parts.  This was a 'No Brainer'.

That's a good price for the new reels, but you may have let the Morrums go too cheaply.  If they were in half-way decent condition you might have made a pretty penny on ebay.
