What sort of verifiable tests should I run on each weight to determine which is best?

I have a lab full of testing equipment at my disposal, but I am needing to know what tests I should run on them.

Which is the safer one environmental wise?

Hardness,sensitivity,size comparison and maybe even the fall rate.

Actually i don't know,but if you ever do get some kind of results i'll be watching the outcome.Just don't lie,already know you don't care for tungsten weights.

Sound is my main factor.  I would like to know for sure what type is louder against a glass bead or brass clacker.

No ... I'll do it professionally.  I won't stretch the truth or change the results in any way.  

Don't worry I'm an honest man.  If it shows in favor of Tungsten then it's so, but that still won't change my opinion.  

The main test would be the physical size or displacement of equal weights. That is the most desirable trait of the tungsten.

I have a better suggestion for you. Why don't you just use what you like and not worry about which is more sensitive, smaller, or louder. That will save you a lot of time. Even if you do get lab grade results, do you actually think it will change people's minds on what they want to use? Use what works for you, if its lead, more power to you. I think this is what Ghoti was suggesting.

Actually, this would give me something to do at work on Monday!  All I've been doing for the past 3 days is sitting around twittling my thumbs since it has been raining here for almost a week solid.  We can't get out in the field to do some of the work we have lined up, so I sit in an office with a bunch of test / lab equipment and  machines.  I literally don't have anything better to do.  

Which one has a better paint that doesn't chip easily.

We already know tungsten is smaller size for the same weight than brass or lead.  We already know it's more environmentally friendly than lead and tied with brass.  I think the other things we need to know would come from the bass's perspective and preference.    

The things we need to know are specific to each rig.

Texas & Florida rig - dose the bigger weight make a more interesting disturbance to the bass?  When the bigger weight gets hung in the weeds more often dose the commotion of snapping out of the weed help attract bass.

Carolina - Sounds created by the different metals and glass clacking together.  Witch sound dose the bass want and dose he always want the same sound?  Maybe brass on tungsten?
