Bass Pro Shop Nitro Rod

Featured Replies

i just recently ordered one of these and im waiting for it to come in the mail...caught it on sale for 130...got the 7'6 heavy for pitching cover...just curious if anyone has any of these and what can i expect from the rod...had good reviews on bps

I had one but sold it. They are absolute brutes man! They have no problem pulling big fish out of slop though!

after getting a carrot stix i realized what a broomstick the nitro is! nothing against the construction, its just heavy. sensitivity is pretty good. and dink is spot on sayinf there brutes. did you get the combo or just the rod? the reel is pretty darn good too!

I held one at BPS, with the nitro reel during the Classic and it is a tad on the heavy side.  But the sales person at the store said it is a brute for getting fish out of heavy cover.

Later, :)

The reel is actually a saltwater reel, a repackaged Inshore Extreme to be exact.
