Fuji SiCs guides or Titanium SiCs guides

Featured Replies

Down to the last decision for my new rod.  Which do you guys prefer the SiCs Guides or the Titanium SiCs guides.

I am going with the Loomis MB843 blank, IMX version with split foam grips, no front grip.  This rod is going to be used for fishing jigs mainly.  WIll be using either Yo-Zuri Hybrid line or Daiwa Samurai braid.

Thanks, ;)

If the price difference is not too much go with the bigger weight savings.

The difference is the frame material (one is Titanium, one is Stainless Steel), so it would be a decision that is made on budgetary/weight considerations..

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!!

I have a MB843 cork split grip/no foregrip IMX with SiCs. I didn't go for the titanium SiCs at the time because of the extra cost but if you have the cash I would say go for it. Either way you're not going to be disappointed.

What does anyone know about the Baston real seats and ALPS real guides?

I fish both All Star Platinum and Titanium rods.  The difference between the 2 is the Titaniums used the Titanium SIC guides.  The rest of the rods are the same.  I honestly can't feel a difference weight wise between the 2 rods.  The profile of the Titanium guides are much lower and smaller though.

IMPO, stick to Fuji® components on your rod and you cant go wrong...
