Hybrid lure..spoon/lipless crank....

Featured Replies

Hey all and happy Holidays...

I picked up an interesting and, I think unique lure this week. It is a Hybrid between a spoon and I would say a lipless crankbait. Not something I see in the stores around here (Rhode Island). I got two weights, 1/2 and 3/4 oz.

Has anyone fished these before?

What's the best presentation?

They LOOK like they will be real effective.

Look something like the Cotton Cordell Gay Blade?

There's a bunch of them out there like the one i mention.seems like i'm finding them everywhere.

There is however one that caught my eyes on ebay.

Here's a pic

Looks like a weedless spoon to me.

No..not a spoon. it is weedless though. I'll take a photo of the BACK of the lure. That's why I said it's unique.

The guy I got them from did say they were no longer being made and he was making them himself. I guess kinda a Rapala clone.

Anyone ever fish the Rapala minnow spoon??

I DO like the way they look!!!!

I picked up four of them 2- 1/2 oz. and 2- 3/4 oz. for $11.00 with shipping. Wonder if I should get more. It stinks cause I can't fish them right now, but they seem like a kind of lure that's right up my alley.

you got them for a very good price! if you think you are gonna like them then i'd buy a few more since they are at a good price and they are discontinued and all.
