Alright, fellow left hand retrieve reel users, I would like to know and I think some of you would also like to know if there is or is not a market or great enough of a demand for a Curado or Citica 201E5.

The answer for me is YES!

A lefty Shimano is about as rare as a Pennant in Chicago.  With the Calcutta 100DC on sale now, I'm about to punch myself in the kidneys to kill the pain of not having the option to buy a 101DC .

To answer your question, yes, yes, and yes.

I'd like to see the Curado 201E come in a 6 and also a 5 gear ratio.  The 7 is a bit much for some applications.

You can switch the gears in a Curado 201 to make it a 6.3:1 reel.  Just need the gears from a Citica 201.  Not sure of the price, but Bantam said it is not very expensive.

5.0:1 would be very nice, just started throwing some crank baits and it would be nice to slow it down a bit.

Oh well, we can only hope.

Later, ;)

Yep, I heard that too. You can even change a citica 200 to have a 5.x ratio. However, since there is no left hand version of the gearing, no way to do it with a Citica 201E.  ;)

This is why I own Revos - But I love the look and feel of the Shimano and I would love to own them too if they would make lefties!!!!!!
