Been fishing the Jackal Weedless wacky rig jighead lately with alot of success, but i've been fishing it on mono since its 1/8 oz. head and i like the slow rate of fall.  Just wondering how fluorocarbon would change this? I would prefer to use it because of its sensitivity but i know itll make it fall faster.  Anyone with input or experience with this?

I do not believe fluoro will significantly increase the fall rate. It will "allow" your wacky rig to be presented in a more natural manner; as the line will sink along with the bait, allowing freer action. I've been using fluoro for everything beneath the surface, with the exception of crank baits. For those I use mono, which tends to be a bit more forgiving, due to the stretch. On the other hand, if I'm fishing on the surface, I'll use a braid, which tends to float. JMO.

I fish wacky about 80% of the time and don't use a jig for weight. I use 30# braid with about 4' of 20# fluorocarbon line for weight to make the braid sink. I'm in no hurry for the rig to get to the bottom so the fish have plenty of time to see it in the water column. If I need weight for deep presentations or in wind/current, I add a small nail to the head of the worm. The most weight I use is 3/64 oz. for depths up to 25'.

flour n wacky are lime bread n butter it dont really make that much of a difference if your worried go down a lb. in the flour its stronger then mono anyways.but if where yer fishing is clear water or fish get spooked easily flour will become your new best friend.

8, 10 or 12 pound flourocarbon line.

Any color you desife, just as long as you can see the line above the water.  

8 or 10 lb mono. I have been giving that Carbo Tex a try, since it is not supposed to absorb water and I wanted to see if it kept the fall rate constant. So far: much ado about nothing and Trilene Xl handels a whole lot better
