Visability

Featured Replies

I was wondering what peoples opinions are pertaining to the visibility or lack of when comparing hybrid type lines like Yo-zuri or P-line CX to straight Flouro?

When comparing the 2 lines it seems like the hybrids are much more visible under the water? Am I looking into this too much or do I have a valid concern when fishing water where visibility becomes a factor?

In gin clear water, I find Yo-Zuri Hybrid to be a very good

match in green. The Hybrid is more manageable and much

stronger than fluorocarbon in comparable diameters.

sometimes i wonder why people use ''clear'' line any more , most manufactures make a low-vis green line that blends in 99.9% of the water that bass live in . i fish ''gin-clear lakes that the green line is much more invisible than the so called ''clear'' line. im still waiting for BPS to make their XPS flourocarbon in a green color . i also love ''smoke'' colored line like Izorline XXX.  :)

Thanks guys, I agree about the low viz green I have it in both the cx and the yo zuri.

The funny thing is that I like to use the so called clear line, because it is easier for me to see above the water (which is important for line watching type applications).  I have trouble seeing the green line above water.  So to answer your question why people even use clear line anymore, that would be my reason why.
