bucoo vs Carrot Stix

Featured Replies

Looking for a Crankbait rod thats lighter compared to what I'm using right now...saw the Falcon Bucoo is out now, and also have been looking at the carrot stix.  anyone seen or used the Falcons and can compare the two?

The Buccoo is rather new and I don't think you're going to get much advice from experienced users of the rod since it is so new.  The Carrot Stix, on the other hand, are going to be my choice based on weight alone.  I have never handled a Buccoo, really looking into one though, but I crank with a 6'10''MH Carrot Stix Gold and paired with a Daiwa Sol, it's probably the lightest combo I have ever felt.

x2. Carrot Stix will probably serve you better in the situation since the Bucco is so very new. You could always wait a little bit though and let some people on this board buy the Bucco and tell you how it performs then make your decision on whether to buy the Bucco or the Carrot Stix.

I heard the Bucoo is using the 'Falcon Original' blank.  If that's the case (which makes sense considering the price point)....I'd go with the Carrot, even with the unfavorable guides.

i know they are lightweight guides, but do they not hold up?
