I use the double Palomar knot for braid and it has never slipped(yet)!

I've never had a problem with the regular Palomar on my 15# Power Pro, but I can't say it's the "best" because I haven't tried others.

agreed...... haven't had one slip, or a break with the palomer on my 40lb suffix since i spooled up.

Palomar, it is the only knot to use.

Well hey now guys, the palomar is a great knot, which I use a lot. But their are some situations where they just  won't work.

I also use a bloodknot to connect my braided main line, to my mono / fluoro leader.

And I still use an imroved clinch for tying on big swimbaits. Yes, you could make a huge enough loop to bring all the way over your swimbait, so as to use a palomar knot for this.... However, I have found that by the time you cinch a palomar with that huge of a loop all the way down, you will have introduced at least a twist or two into your knot, and "that particular palomar knot" won't be worth a $### !

Why would you moisten braid before cinching the knot?

so it will slide down all the way braided tends to stick to create a lot of friction when you use them it just ensures that you get the knot as tight as possible
