Question on a rod techneic

Recommended Posts

I needed a 2 pc rod so I took advantage of cabelas deal and ordered their XML ti spinning rod it's 6'6" and the tech. Was said to be meant for rig and jig. I've never heard of such a method what does it mean?

perhaps an intentional omission to catch the customer's eye with a rhyme? As a guess, I would think (t) rig and jig.  Some companies clump those two in the same rod model.

How do you like it?

I have been assuming that it is for Texas Rigs and Bottom Jigs.  Based upon the power and lure ratings, it would probably be lighter jigs.  I don't need another 2-piece, but with the current Cabela's specials the rods have been tempting.  Cheers

That designation is meant to appeal as a walleye class rod. Rig (as in Lindy or spinner rigs) and Jig (lighter ball head jigs). It's probably a M/F rod right? Split grip?
