I probably shouldn't reply, but here goes. I never used that model, however  do have the Clarus, and Calcutta, and love em both, what I'm sayin is imho, Shimano rods are a good value, maybe not The best, but for the $$$$ a very good deal. I'd buy more if I could afford it.

I like them.  I only have 1, as I prefer the Crucials, but the Compre is a rod nobody should be ashamed to own.  Very capable sticks.

The Compre rods are great rods.  They are very lightweight and sensitive.

I own 3 Compres's and love them. For their price point they are an excellent value.

I have three as well. They are great rods for the money and have a nice warranty too. Nothing wrong with the Compre.

I recently picked up a Compre 6'6" MXF spinning rod, and I have to sisay it is a great rod. I do prefer Falcon Lowriders, but for a bill it is a great deal. They are sensitive and classic looking. I use mine for  dropshot, weightless senkos, tubes, and shakey heads. For the price you can't go wrong. Especially for us who have to ignore the bait monkey a little more this year.

Would you rate them with the lowriders or the premiers?

as mentioned, the compres are an excellent rod for the money...personally, would put them a tad above the lowrider and the premier.

ymmv.

I have a Compre 2-pc.  I wouldn't call it lightweight but I do find it to be quite sensitive.

I was fishing in the rain one day and kept feeling occasional taps but no fish.  It dawned on me that the taps were raindrops hitting my rod.
