What rod and reel i want for my fishing type?

Featured Replies

I am very new to bass fishing for when i go fishing i catch only 20 percent bass and 80 percent bluegill crappie and pumpkin seed. Im sick of it. What I first did was get new lures and that started helping.I fish on the shore for bass about 12-16 inches. I dont need anything too fancy just something simple and inexpensive.

What do you consider inexpensive? I personally consider 200 dollars a good price for a decent setup. But inexpensive to me means under 100 dollars. If I only had 100 dollars........

I's buy an Abu Garcia 5500C3 and one of the 29.99 Cabelas rods one sale right now. That's about 120 dollars, but so what. Its for a good cause!

Get a Cabelas Prodigy reel and an 6' 6" MH XML or XMLti rod (Both One sale) and your just over $100 and you will not outgrow it anytime soon.
