anyone use or own any of these and whats the difference other then bearing count and price???

    The 601 has an upgraded drag from the 501.  The 601 has fewer bearings, but has the HPCR bearings.  The bearings in the 501 are stainless steel.  The 601 can sometimes be had for the same price as the 501.  I'd go with the 601 over the 501.  

    The 701 steps it up from the 601 with all metal contruction - body, sideplate, rotor, bail arms, etc.  The 701 is an excellent reel.
