Reels got wet

Featured Replies

My reels got wet from the rain should I take them apart and dry them and greese them or just let them dry?

Leth them dry. My reels have sat out in the pooring rain in the boat foe hours and didn't have any problems. All the important parts that deal with casting/retrieving are all sealed inside.

i think they will be fine if you just let them dry out.

yep.  Let them dry and you will be good to go.

A rain storm isn't going to hurt any reel, unless your driving down dirt roads with the reels on the deck.

Just let them dry out a little, on a normal fishing day there is water inside the reel just from wet line....

Tight Lines!!!!
