Airrus Rods ??

Featured Replies

Seems like every time I'm about to pull the trigger on a high end rod something comes up that

makes me change my mind about that brand or the rod itself oh well lol

Anyways I was on TW.com and I saw these rods;

So as usual I'm asking you guys if anyone has ever used these and if you have what's your over all take.

The one thing that I am most interested in is sensitivity which ranks number one on my list.

Oh and please don't talk avids and crucials its not that I'm not convinced that there great

rods there just not what I'm looking for.

Handled one in a local shop, seems fairly sensitive not as sensitive as the rods you said not to mention though.  I also did not like the fold down hook keeper or the removable buttstock features, I can just see them coming loose and needing to be retightened every 5 minutes.  I did like the grips though, the store owner was telling me how they retain heat which is nice for fishing cold days especially up here in WI.  But I didn't like the rod overall as a whole.  Felt there is much better in that price range.

Thought about giving thoose rods a shot, then I came across GBlanks.  Boy I sure am glad I did.  These rods are sweeeeeet!  I fished mine for the first time today. It is hands down the best rod I own. ;D

i have a airrus co matrix in a 7mh that i use for an all around setup, imo the action is perfect and the rods themselves are light,i have swapped mine out with a few different reels and it seems to balance well with no matter what you put on it.i dont use it alot or as much as i should nor have i ever sunk into a big fish with it yet,but it has handled ALOT of 5-6# smallies and lm for me over  time.one great thing about airrus is they have an excellet warranty,no sending in money to fix your rod,its broken they fix it free.

Great looking rod and looks like something I would love to try and of course its in the price range I like as well

I've got an Airrus Centurion 7'6" , two piece, IM6, med spinning

rod, 12-20lb. line. It's rigged up with a Shimano 4000 reel, loaded with 50lb. braid. (overkill)

I use it mainly for throwing zoom horny toads, stanley ribbits etc.

I love the long handle for two-handed casts, breaks down for easier

transport.

great rod for a decent price !

BB ;)

I have held but not fished them, so I can not say too much. They all seem to be of good quality. I especially like the Copperhead.

One of the best rods for the price out there. I have a few XL spinning rods. I love the nice short handles.

I've owned 8 Airrus rods in the past few years.  I have zero complaints.  They are great rods and come at a great price.  I still use 3 of them but have replaced 5 of them over time with GLoomis rods (who wouldnt?).

I dont think you can go wrong with an Airrus rod, and the warranty is very good.
