record reel ... what rod

Featured Replies

i just bought a record reel size 50 ... its 6.3:1 ratio   gonna use it for my texas rig,c-rig, and jigs ... which rod for around 100 do u think would be best.  i was thinking the mojo bass jig n worm...

hard to beat a 7' shimano compre.

they are aweseome for 99 bucks. keep an eye out and you may find a crucial at that price.

I love my Mojo Bass rod. I really would buy another....but my heart is for sure set on an Avid. If you can, get to a store that has both. You may find that the extra eighty bucks is worth it. But for 100 dollars, either the Premier or the Mojo, no doubt.

actually lets make it up to 140 bucks ...  ive been looking at a powell 703cef (mh extra fast) and right now i believe thats what ill go with ... if anyone has any ideas which would be better than my selection please chime in.  im not worried about the weight of the rod due to the fact that the reel weighs so much .  any help?

I was also going to suggest a G Blanks. For $160 you look into a Shimano Crucial. Great rods for the price.
