7.1-1 for me the faster the better. I will throw into some real junk and  I want to get them out fast.

I like to slow roll my softies. I choose a 6:4:1. With that ratio I can slow roll em and then burn it back to the boat around water I'm not fishing. I only fish shorelines and cover.

I use either a 6.3:1 (smaller t-rigs in more open water) or a 7.1:1(Larger baits in cover), oh and 5.8:1 (tubes)

well I mainly fish senko type baits, grubs, creature baits, ribbontail worms. Either t-rigged with small bullet weights or weightless. I won't be fishing into heavy cover with this reel.

Any higher end, 6.4 or 7.1... there is nothing worse than working a bait slow only to pick up your rod and have the fish flying at you and your reel not keeping up.

I like a 6.x.1 for soft plastic general purpose and a 7.x:1 for frogs / flipping

Anything that picks up 30+ in./turn works well for me.

That Curado would be a great choice. The only reason I don't have one is the LH model rubs my big fat hands raw after an hour or two. It will make a great plastics reel.

Great choice - a nice cleaning out of excess grease and set of quality ABEC 7 spool bearings will help expand the ability to present some of the lighter baits as well...

Well I have one curado for crankin already and its the perfect reel. Can't wait to throw some plastics with it. Thanks again guys for assuring me on my decision.

I just got a Curado E7.  I'm using it for small plastics and jigs.  Love being able to keep total control of the slack line when moving the bait with the rod.
