How to make casting and reeling in smoother???

Featured Replies

I have a Daiwa Megaforce reel that was my first baitcast reel. I've had it for about 5 months now. It has dirt and stuff in it from riding on an ATV on dirt roads. When I cast and reel in it doesn't feel near as smooth as I think it should. I think that it greatly hurts my sensitivity when fishing soft plastics waiting for that subtle bump. How can I fix this?

Thanks

If you don't know how to do it yourself, I'd suggest sending it to a reel mechanic for a good cleaning!

x2. best money you'll ever spend. Extends the life and will prob make it feel brand new again.

Like the others stated. Only I would deep clean and re-polish all free spool friction points. While that is being done, I would purchase a good reel cover for the reel as it makes those dusty trips on the ATV.....

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!
