Sorry man, but the Yo Zuri and P Line are far from 2 of the most popular lines in use.

Regular nylon monos in all of their varieties are much more popular.  Trilene XT, XL, Big Game, Stren.

Power Pro, Sufix, Fireline, and Spiderwire braids are also probably more popular than these.  Yo Zuri isn't even widely sold in retail stores.

I'm not saying that the lines are bad (haven't used them), but they are most certainly not the most popular lines in use.

I was referring to lines in use by a lot of posters on this forum, I see these 2 lines referenced a lot in posts on this forum.

I was not implying that they are the absolute 2 most popular lines in the fishing world.  I will try to be more clear next time.

A meaningless poll.  I don't care what is more popular, most recommended, etc.  All I care about is results.  CXX gets them for me.

I'm currently using 6lb hybrid as a leader for finesse applications, 20lb as a leader for heavy cover or big baits, and running 12lb ultra soft on my crankbait rod.  

I LOVE the 12lb ultra soft, and I have yet to experience one breakoff with either the US or the hybrid.  the US casts wonderfully on baitcasting gear.

When i get my swimbait setup going in the fall, i'm probably going to spool it with 20lb hybrid, so i guess i'll see about the casting issues then.  

The CXX is on clearance at TW; so you get it for $7.88 (in a couple of weights) AND you get 20% off.  In case anyone wants to pick up some.  Not all weights but a few.

i fished the 6lb cxx on my cardinal 801 spinning reel yesterday. while it does have a little memory even after some ardent line conditioner , it is very smooth and has excellent castability (new word?). i didnt catch anything so i cant comment on that part but overall im happy with it.  

i find that yo-zuri (6 #) sinks way to much as i was using it for fishing for bluegills and i was making long casts . when i go to retrieve the line (with bobber) it drags the bobber down and a ton of slop with it . btw , i was using the ulta-soft . so i might try the stuff in 10# or 12# on my baitcaster . but there are alot of other lines that i think i would go to before the yo-zuri .... as far as CXX goes , i was using it for swim baits but recently went to a line that is much more managable , IZORLINE XXX !!!! this line is very strong also and you don't have the nightmare slinkyness of CXX . i only like CXX in 10# and under , anything else , no thanks ...........

I personally don't care for the Cx but I may have had a bad spool.  My was twisty, it crimped and had too much memory for my taste.  I will definately try the ultra soft.
