Rod Shipping

Featured Replies

so i got some rods i want to sell and i have a *** shipping tube. whats the cheapest way to ship it?

cheapest is probably usps but if you want it there in one piece, I'd say your best chance is with fedex.  Of the 3 (ups, usps and fedex) my best luck with rods has been fedex.

Don't bother shipping them without insurance...    :)

I prefer USPS Priority Mail. 2 -3 day shipping. Discount if you buy postage online. If you do have a claim, you can submit it online and it goes directly to claims processing. No middle man (like post master, clerk, etc) to handle it.

My biggest insurance nightmares have been with USPS. Not to mention they are the slowest of them all. Sadly, my personal best usps (fastest) insurance claim was paid in just over 12 weeks. :)

Have to agree, USPS is the cheapest way to go.  Buy the insurance, and wrap some bubble wrap around the rod. :)

If you want the rod to arrive in one piece, Fed-Ex.

I have used usps and so far so good but always pay for the insurance.  UPS and Fed Ex probably handle it better.

I have shipped about 6 rods and have had 1 that was broke in shipping and luckly I had insurance w/ USPS.  Worked out ok but it is a hassle.
