Flourocarbon?

Featured Replies

Seaguar InvisX and AbrazX exclusively.

AbrazX cannot be beat in heavy cover.  I flipped with 20 lb on Kentucky Lake in buck brush for 8 hours without having to retie and did not break off.  I nearly wrote a letter to the company I was so impressed, and I am generally pretty critical by nature.

InvisX in every other situation that requires fluoro.

I have not broken off a fish yet this year and I am notorious for forgetting to retie.

Vicious! ;D Use it for everything but top water. I like XPS also but its a bit to expensive for my wallet! :D

I used to use Vanish for my leaders but it wouldn't hold knot strength for squat.  Quickly learned from others how crappy Vanish is.  Once I switched the problems went away.

What type of line did you switch to?  Also, what knot were you using?  I have actually found that a palomar holds up well, its a pain to tye with the flouro however.  I use a small swivel to attach the lines, just cant seem to master the uni knot, so Im thinking maybe its got something to do with the line, and not just my darn sausage fingers.....

BPS + KVD linc conditioner, zero problems on my baitasters

BPS fluoro

Palomar for direct tying and Uni to Uni's for the fluoro leaders.

Seaguar InvizX and Cabela's No Viz Xtra (which is also made by Seaguar I think).  Since I fish braid with a fluoro leader on all my jigs and plastics InvisX has the perfect amount of stretch I'm looking for.

I like Vicious Fluorocarbon. It is a lot cheaper than triline 100% and in my opinion fishes better.
