BPS Nitro Big Bass rods
Been looking for a new rod for horny toads and paddle tail swimbaits around grass. And the Nitro 7' 6" MH sounds pretty good on BPS site for $100 but Has anyone here used the Nitro big bass rods? Also I'll be using braided line on it. Thanks for any input!

Tackle Bags
I picked up a gym type bag at Big Lots a couple months back for about $5 and I'm really happy with it, the main compartment could easily hold 8-10 of the 360 boxes and it has two small compartments on the ends, I put my tools like pliers, scissors, scale, in one and scents, dyes in the other. It also has a large compartment on the front that will hold a lot of soft plastics bags.

Wasted Fishing Line.
I use what ever cheap line I have for backing line (get a few spools when on sale at walmart for a couple bucks for any new reels I get) then use a blood not to attach about 50 yds of my main line.

how do you guys organize your soft plastics?
I leave all my plastics in there original bags which I put in gallon zip-lock bags by type (trick worms, craws, finesse, exc.) Then put all those into a soft sided cooler and into one of the compartments in the boat.

What to do if you hook yourself passed the barb!
Hooked my self twice. Once in the forearm with a crankbait, was able to push it on through and cut the barb then back it out (actually didn't hurt too bad) Then once had jerkbait go straight down to the bone on my little finger, After my dad tried to pull it out (not a good idea!) and failed I had to go to the ER. The doc. shot my finger up with something that made it swell to double normal size (Dad almost passed out watching this lol) He held my hand on the table and pulled hard as he could with pliers, took a couple tries but it finally came out. Worst part about that one was it took close to 6hrs at the ER!

Opinions on Javelin Bass boats
Looking to buy a new used boat after our 91 Nitro's engine blew, and saw a 1997 17' Javelin today for sale, looked like it was in good condition and had a 175 Johnson engine. The guy is asking $5,500 Does that sound reasonable? I dont know much about javelins. Thanks for any input!

I actually talked to a lady on the phone there and she even asked the manager and he said no too. The store is a hour and a half away so I dont think I'll take the chance. :-/ After talking to another guy online that makes rods I'm gonna replace it myself following his instructions

New rod tip?
Busted the insert out of the tip of my Pro Qualifier rod today. And since I've had it more then a year (barely) Bass Pro wont replace/repair it so I'm planing on having the tip replaced at a local tackle shop. I was just wondering will the rod lose any sensitivity doing this?

What are your favorite fishing pictures?
- Ugliest bass you have ever caught?
Not sure what was up with this guys back?- Step 2: Clearcoat
Now thats a purty bait!!- Crankbait, direct tie or snap swivel?
If there's a split ring I tie directly to that, if not I add one then tie to it.- New breed of striper
Caught a sweatshirt before :- Handmade lures
I'm looking for some good quality skirted lures, Jigs/Spinnerbaits/Buzzbaits. I just want something other then the mass produced stuff everyone uses. So if you guys know of someone that makes good quality stuff please post a link here! Thanks!- What's Your Favorite Type of Strike?
I love the top water bite but there's something about when you pitch a plastic or jig into a bush and feel that THUMP! set the hook and the bush just explodes and the bass is snagged up in there! It's like being in hand to hand combat with the bass! ;D - Ugliest bass you have ever caught?
