Would have to be my boat, its a early 90's Nitro but it looks like NEW!! Nothing wrong with it at all!! got it couple years ago for just under $4000 the guy that had it only had it in the sun WHILE fishing, and he only fished occasionally. The rest of the time it was up on a boat lift with the cover on. ;D

Are the BPS Pro Qualifier casting reels any good? How do they compare to the Citica E's? I'm looking to get a flippin stick and I have two PQ rods already and they've been very good to me, and if I get the PQ combo its like getting the reel for $50. I'm looking at the new models (with the recurve handle) Thanks!

I've used all of those except the Shad Jr. and all have caught me fish! I believe my favorite is the Fat Free Guppy, in citrus or chartreuse/blue. It kills em!

I use a Reverese Clinch knot. I had a problem with a Palomar breaking when using fluorocarbon > Check it out here: Also I use a Blood knot for joining two lines together.

I got one. I was in the boat and pulling into this cove, the cove is atleast 300ft from one bank to the other. Theres a guy just sitting in the middle of the cove in the captains chair with his motor off and trolling motor stowed, I pull in and start fishing down the bank on one side and when I look over he's put his trolling motor down and is heading my way! I just keep fishing and then he pulls RIGHT in front of me within flippin distance and starts fishing about one bass boat length in front of me. I didnt say a word, just crank up and idle to the other side of the cove, and kinda keep a eye on him, couple mins later I hook up with a nice 3lber ;D my Dad was in the back of the boat so when I hooked up I made sure to yell I GOT A NICE ONE!! ;D He left that cove whithin a couple mins! ;D

Dont have that model rod but I got a 704CB rod which is their crankbait rod for Christmas, and while fishing the weekend before last, I hooked up with a 2 1/2lber and when I got him to the boat I reached down to grab him and the rod snapped right behind the 5th guide from the top. > Sent it back to them the other day, havent heard anything back yet. It was a great feeling rod before that, and Ive heard from alot of people that have Powells and they love em, and I was the first they had heard of one breaking, so maybe I just got a lemon :-/ or maybe I landed the fish wrong and put to much pressure on the rod :-[

I have a "fishing closet" that has a rod rack, a 7 drawer rack thing I got from Wal-Mart the top 4 drawers hold soft plastics and the bottom 3 hold my Plano box's, line, EXT. then I have another little table thing that holds all my tackle bags when not in use.

Yea, definitely start with spinning gear, and you may want to try skipping a T-rigged tube with a small PEGGED sinker, I can skip this bait probably easier then anything else I've tried. Good luck and keep practicing! ;D
