  2. I got a Citica E for Christmas and a Powell Max 704CB rod to go with it and I must say this is a SWEET setup! I love mine ;D as far as building an arsenal (I'm in the process) I started out getting a set up for my favorite technique(s) which is a worm or jig (7' MH fast) then I got one for spinnerbaits/buzzbaits (6'6" MH fast) and lately Ive been getting into crankbaits so I got the Powell crankbait rod and I think I'll be buying more Powell rods in the future! The next one I want to get is a spinning rod for drop shotting ;D
  3. You could tie the end of your line to something in your yard (fence, tree limb) then walk out until all the line is off the spool and go back to the start and respool from there, or Ive heard about people tying there line to a bottle or something that floats and while on the water throw that out and either use the trolling motor or big motor and idle out until its all out and then go back and pick up the bottle. I dont reverse my line, but I've heard of people doing it that way.
  4. I was at BPS the other day and the only one they had in stock was the new Energy, I picked it up and played with it a little, that thing felt SWEET!
  5. I was also looking for a rod like that for Christmas, I ended up ordering a Powell 704CB. I found nothing but good reviews on these rods but I wont get to use it for another 2 days! ;D
  6. Just a few suggestions but Id say either save a little more and get a good rod or reel if you need one or you can never have enough good terminal tackle, gammy hooks maybe some Tungsten sinkers, If you like frog fishing may want to get some good braided line, heard good things about Suffix and Power Pro. I stocked up one jerkbaits and fat free shad crankbaits for most of my Christmas tackle

  14. I'm using a Med power, fast action rod for crankin right now (until Christmas when I get my new crankin rod) and I just back off on the drag a little and dont give a "home run" type hookset, just a light sweep, and its been working pretty good for me and I think I might keep using my fast action rod for rippin lipless cranks.
  15. Same thing I thaught when I watched the show! ;D
  16. Same here. Heard great things about the citica and I'm planning to get one for Christmas, but heard bad and good about the E21 :-/

  24. I wanted to try some suspending jerk baits this winter, what are some of the best ones? I was looking at Bombers jerk baits. dont want to pay over $10 per bait if possible Also I've heard they only work in clear water, how clear does it have to be for them to work? I fish water with about 3ft visibility. Any color recommendations would be great also ;D
