So my wife was at the mall today, called and asked if I needed anything. I said "4 pound test"

She came home with spiderwire 4# mono. Is this any good?

i use to use the ez cast mono back in the day. i havent messed with them since i moved into using suffix or so my suggestion is just give it a shot your yourself might like it over others if they dont. but of subject tried hunting run yet?? i love it there tired ni reservoir yesterday me and my brother no luck at all for us.

i was bout to ask fishing line in the mall too forgot dicks is connected. man been a long time for me since i been in that mall if speaking of spotsy mall. and was just at gander mountain friday too.

Spiderwire makes some good mono, but thats about it.

What you using it for?

I am using the mono #4 for crappie, perch fishing on UL rod and it works great.

I had spiderwire 4# on my UL worked great..it was very clear and hard to see..but I likes the sensitivity and it cast pretty good too. Had it on for a while too with a lot of memory, thought it was good line for the money. I have switched to trilene XL smooth cast by Berkley though.

I put it on my smallie rig. Kinda re thinking the 4# decision though.

4# would work if it is very very clear water, I use 6# fluoro for smallies on my drop shot and tube set ups.
