I've searched but havent turned up much. I have an 06' model 6000 (the red one with the clicker). I Absolutely love the look and feel of the reel.  While it has served  me well, I would like to see what aftermarket parts or swappable upgrades are available for this reel? Handles, spools, bearings, etc?

I'm interested in asthetics and performance. I know this is kind of a broad question but I value any insight that you may have.

Thank you all,

Josh

1. Spool Bearings, ABEC 5/ABEC 7.

2. Level wind a ;)ssembly and additional bearing from a C5 (Pure Fishing has all the parts, but I would guess Reel Mech. also has them.)

3. Idler gear with a bearing.

When you are done, the reel will be a 6500C6

If your reel has a black bushing on the drive shaft, you could replace it with a bearing giving your reel a total of 7 bearings.6 regular bearings, plus the anti-reverse.I have a few 10 bearing Ambassadeurs,6 on the reel, and 4 in the handle.Drive shaft bearing is part # 20647,and the 2 washers are part # 20650.

We only carry stock level wind assemblies, we have upgrade spool support bearings and drag pads. But for anything else to trick out your reels oldschoolbasser, or the factory is your best bet..

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!

X2,all my parts are available from the factory, just get the part numbers off the schematics. If you can't find the part #s holler at me,and I'll give them to you.Get the drags, and bearings from the Reel Mechanic and you won't have a problem.

Always glad to help out.Isn't that what these forums are for?besides us Old Dudes gotta stick together."They can have my 4500C when they pry it from my cold dead hands"
