I just received my Loomis GLX BCR853 in the mail and I'm just curious is the guide on the tip (very end of the rod) supposed to be a recoil guide because mine isn't it looks to be an aconite.

    I have mixed feelings about the recoil guides.  I use braid and have broken alot of non recoil guides when it wraps around them.  The recoils will give so they don't break.  On the down side the braid is pretty noisy as it goes through these guides so that's kind of a pain.
