I've never tried a Zillion, but I really like the AV's.  So much so that I've been slowly replacing my aging GLoomis rods with Techna AV's over the past few years.  Great rods!

finally pick up techna av for 90, actually love zollion better, but the price, for 90, I have nothing to say

The AV has a lot of competition at the $200 price point, but for $125 or less, it's a sweet rod.  I've got two.  It seems as though they are being closed out at a lot of places so there have been some very good deals.  You should be very happy and not have any doubts.  Just expect to pay a lot more if you ever have the urge to upgrade  :D

I've never used a techna AV so I have no comments on that product, but I do own a 7 foot MH fast action Zillion rod and absolutely love it. I is super sensitive, light, and has overwhelming strength.

I just picked up a MH Techna AV on Ebay for $90 a couple weeks ago. Planning to use it for spinnerbaits and jigs.  Rated for 3/8 to 1 1/2 ounce lures.  Haven't been able to use it yet, but seems like a nice rod, especially for the price. Good luck
