Fenwick Elite Tech rods

Featured Replies

I was about to go and pick up a new Fenwick HMG spinning rod and saw on tackle warehouse that they have the Elite Tech rods on sale for about $140.00. I own a couple older HMG'S and a couple HMX'S that I am quite pleased with. I honestly don't have alot of money, so I try to buy the best I can afford and was hoping on some input on these particular rods. Just wondering how they feel and if they're worth the extra money? I'm looking into Jig N' Worm rod or the Riggin' Stick. It would mostly be used for soft plastics in the 1/4 oz - 1/2 oz range. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jacob

I love Fenwick rods and have used them for a long time. I especially like the HMG's and the Techna AV's which are being done away with. I'm not completely sold on the newer Elite Tech's yet. If I was to buy a new spinning rod like you explained, IMO, I don't think you could do better than to buy a Techna AV.
